Before All Things

In the beginning was nothingness. For incomprehensible eons there was no world, no thought, no time.

Then thought emerged. From the sparking traceries of intersecting dimensions emerged a mind, flickering into coherence out of the endless void.

This was the beginning of all that would come to exist, and the birth of Enakin, the first.

For endless eons Enakin drifted in the void, slowly developing from a mere spark of consciousness into a fully self-aware mind. Alone and surrounded by nothing, Enakin eventually determined that it had become fully self-aware and needed to experience something outside of itself. In a burst of curiosity, Enakin asked itself what it might be like to not be so alone in the universe.

And in that instant the Elder Gods were born.

In subsequent ages, mortals and gods alike would come to argue about which of the elder gods was created first, but in truth they were all formed in a singular burst of creativity before time itself was fixed on it course.

Enakin, in its loneliness, gave birth to all of the Elder Gods and saw fit to watch them find their own purpose.

As each of Enakin's children set about finding its own purpose, Enakin found itself satisfied that it had fulfilled its purpose. Enakin rested and watched as its children set about enacting their varied purposes.
